« - En d’autres termes, il y a trois hommes en moi. L’un d’eux occupe toujours le milieux : indifférent, impassible, il observe, il attend que les deux autres le laissent s’exprimer et leur dire ce qu’il voit. Le deuxième est comme un animal apeuré qui attaque de crainte d’être attaqué. Et puis il y a un homme doux et aimant, trop aimant, qui laisse autrui pénétrer jusque dans le saint des saints de son être, encaisse les insultes, fait confiance et signe les contrats sans les lire, se laisse convaincre de travailler au rabais ou gratis et qui, lorsqu’il s’aperçoit qu’on l’a possédé, a envie de tuer et de détruire tout ce qui l’entoure, y compris lui-même, pour se punir d’avoir été aussi stupide. Mais il ne s’y résout pas - et il retourne s’enfermer en lui-même.
